The beaches in Kythnos are wonderful and can satisfy any kind of preference as there are beaches with golden sand but also beaches with fine or thicker pebbles, while there are many areas with rocks that you can swim in wonderful waters.
The difference from the other beaches in the Cyclades, is that in Kythnos there are no organized beaches with umbrellas and sunbeds and so you will feel closer to nature, while if you are looking for a relative isolation, in Kythnos it is very easy to find it. In most of the beaches of Kythnos, great hospitable tamarisk trees will offer you shade. On several beaches, of course, there are small shops for the essentials.
The beaches of Kythnos owe their diversity to the difficulty of access, since several of them can be reached either by dirt roads or by the sea.
